Drag inside the card: left for dark, right for light, up for solid, down for see-through.

▲ Solid▼ See-through
In the middle of a match
Turn it down without leaving the game.
One shortcut and the sound card is right there, over the game. Lower the music, check the mic, switch to speakers, and you never lost sight of the action.
▲ Solid▼ See-through
While you work
The song, and every word of it.
What's playing floats in a corner with its lyrics lighting up word by word. Skip, pause or sing along, and your document stays exactly where it was.
▲ Solid▼ See-through
During a movie
A message arrives. The movie keeps playing.
Messages from the chat apps you already use slide in on a small card. Read it, answer it from the card, and it's gone. Nothing is sent unless you send it.
▲ Solid▼ See-through
Mid-call
Jot it down before it slips away.
A note, a to-do, a quick sum, right over the call window. It's saved on its own, and it stays out of the way until you need it again.
Built to keep you in the flow.
Your focus stays put
Cards appear over what you're doing, even over full-screen videos and borderless games, without taking your keyboard or your attention away from it.
It comes to you
What you need shows up when you call it, and leaves when you're done.
Exactly the way you want
Choose what appears, where it sits and how it looks.
Never stop what you're doing.
One shortcut and KOL is there. One more and you're right back where you were.

About
Built around one idea: you shouldn't have to stop.
Every time you close, pause or minimize something to reach something else, you lose your place. KOL is here so that never has to happen.
KOL started as a way to change the volume in the middle of a game without leaving it. It grew into a small family of cards that share the same rules: they appear when you call them, they look like they belong together, and they leave the moment you're done.
Every card is designed to be read at a glance, to be friendly in the dark and in the light, and to adapt to what it shows, so the screen stays yours.
Our principles
No surprises.
It does only what you ask
KOL only mutes, sends or changes what you set it to.
Your data stays with you
No account, no ads, no analytics. Nothing is sent to us.
Quiet by default
Optional features start off, and everything can be turned off again.
Support
How can we help?
How do I open KOL?
With one shortcut. You can choose it, and every other shortcut, in Settings.
How do I set it up?
The first time KOL starts, a short setup guide lists your sound devices and apps and lets you choose what KOL shows. You can run it again from Settings.
Does KOL collect anything?
No. There is no account, no ads and no analytics, and nothing is sent to us. The privacy policy explains exactly what KOL does online.
Which languages does it speak?
English and Hebrew, including right-to-left layouts.
How do I move or close a card?
Drag it anywhere; it remembers its place. The ↺ button sends it back, and the × button closes it.
What's new
Highlights of KOL 0.4.37
- Selected cards: press Ctrl+Alt+A and drag around any part of the screen or a window to keep it on a card of its own. It stays live even when you minimize that window.
- ScratchPad (Ctrl+Alt+J): jot down a note or a to-do, or do a quick sum, without leaving your game or app.
- Clipboard card: keep the last texts you copied and paste one back with a click. It is off until you turn it on, and it never reads what a password manager marks private.
- Web card (Ctrl+Alt+B): a small browser for any website.
- Chat cards have an emoji button, show emoji, and say what a message holds: a voice message, a video or a photo.
- Chat cards come back after a restart where you left them, and never take your keyboard when they do.
- After a restart the player is back on the same song and second, paused and ready to play.
- Cards keep one tidy order in every corner and never cover each other.
- Hold a volume key to keep changing the volume.
- The Light theme is easier to read, and menus are shorter and clearer.
